We are well reinforced with a motivated team comprising factory manager, engineers, supervisors, small engine mechanics, technicians, storekeepers, fitters, welders, painters and all equipment machinery such as press brakes, shearing machines, mig / tig welding, spot welding, arc welding, oxygen welding, power press, hydraulic press, powder coating & galvanizing and other necessary facilities.

The parent company was established in the sheet metal industry to serve the local community and the export market. Mr Samaranayake Jayalath Wijetunge, the founder and CEO of “SAMARANAYAKE GROUP”, counts over twenty-five years of experience in sheet metal & heavy fabrication and boat repairing industries.

As a School Boy, he helped in his father’s factory, namely “Echo Electric Company”, during his spare time. Upon leaving school, he proceeded to the United Kingdom for specialized training. After his return, he set up Edwin Enterprises and “Electro Metal Pressings”; a few years later, he was the market leader for supplying fluorescent fittings.

In search of excellence, he migrated to Italy and reaped exclusive experience. After returning, he relocated his factory at the Templeburge Industrial Estate in Homagama and founded the Templeburge industrial association.

As a stratagem, “SAMARANAYAKE HEAVYFAB” was established in 2003 and became an exclusive manufacturer of trailers to a Norwegian company. Establishing a solid relationship with the Norwegian company, they collaborated with Samaranayake Heavyfab to provide technical know-how and training in trailer manufacture & quality control methods to the employees. Then, as the foundation for expansion and complementary products, he started boat repairing and maintenance and presently is a renowned seaworthy certificate issuing company in Sri Lanka.

The subsequent notable expansion was the formation of “SAMFAB TRAILER MANUFACTURES (PVT) LTD in 2005 as the marketing and distributing company under the Samaranayake Group. It is presently recognized as the pioneer in distributing boats, cargo, generators, fancy food campers, dolly, car, motorcycle trailers to the European market.

Currently, our group accommodate a considerable number of employees, facilitating their wellbeing. We also outsource a certain amount of work to well-trained contractors and sub-contractors. In addition, the company focuses on environmental issues, and all work practices have been streamlined to ensure ecological safety measures are adhered to by all departments.
